5. Great Western Trail
|Number of Players||2-4|
This 19th century, American west strategy game has been a popular choice recently. Put the wild west and cattle ranching on your tabletop with this complex 2-4 player strategy game.
In Great Western Trail, players are ranchers and repeatedly herd cattle from Texas to Kansas City, where they are sent off by train. Earning you money and victory points. Therefore, each time you arrive in Kansas City, you want your most valuable cattle with you. However, the "Great Western Trail" requires that you keep your herd in top shape, but also that you cleverly use the various buildings along the trail. It might also be a good idea to hire competent staff: cowboys to help your herd, craftsmen to construct your own buildings, and engineers for the railroad line.
Great Western Trail makes a good game night choice with a playtime of anywhere from 75-150 minutes and no shortage of strategic play.
