Chickwood Forest is a game of scouting castles, snatching loot, giving alms, and achieving glory.

Whoever gains the most glory wins the game. The players scout the castles for fruitful targets. They play cards from their hands to the castles, sometimes face down, sometimes face up. They then each raid one castle, looking to steal its precious treasure while avoiding any nasty surprises. With their bags full of riches, they can then give to the poor by placing their alms on the village cards, therefore showing who is the most generous.
