1450 American Drive-in. The first American drive-in restaurant was Kirby’s Pig Stand in Dallas, Texas, established in 1921. The idea really took off and drive-ins had their heyday during the 1950s and 60s, to be superseded in later decades by drive-through restaurants. Here is artist Steve Crisp’s idyllic vision of Sid’s Drive-In beneath waving palm trees and a starry sky, complete with rollerskating waitresses and couples who are probably "going steady". 1,000 piece puzzle with an assembled size of 30" x 24".
